Screen packaging guide

By following best practices for screen packaging, you can ensure that displays are received in the best possible condition to get the best value.

By re-using packaging material and reducing waste you can lower shipping costs and reduce the impact on the environment.

Method 1 - Individual bags

1. Insert all LCDs into bubble wrap bags. Ensure the flex cables are not bent.

2. Wrap stacks of five LCDs with a rubber band.

3. Place a layer of thin filler inside the box, making sure to cover the sides.

4. Place stacks of LCDs with the flex cables facing inward (towards the middle of the box).

5. If necessary, stuff filler into any gaps.

6. If necessary, add a few layers of filler on top to fill the box.

7. Place your packing list inside.

8. Before sealing the box, gently shake the carton to check that nothing is moving. If you notice something moves, add filler.

9. Close the cover and secure with tape. Write the BuyBack Authorization Form (BBAF) number on the front of the package.

Method 2 - Bulk wrapping

1. Place a sheet of bubble wrap down and place two LCDs face down two inches from the edge. Make sure the flex cables are not bent and are facing inward.

2. Fold the extra 4-5 cm of bubble wrap over the screens.

3. Fold once and add LCDs face down on top.

4. Continue until you have a total of 10 LCDs (5 LCDs on each side). It’s not recommended to wrap more than 10 LCD’s due to a higher possibility of being damaged while in transit.

5. Wrap at least two layers of additional bubble wrap around the collection of LCDs. Secure the collection with a rubber band on each side.

6. Place a layer of thin filler inside the box, making sure to cover the sides.

7. Place LCDs towards the middle of the box (away from the sides).

8. If necessary, stuff filler into any gaps.

9. If necessary, add a few layers of filler on top to fill the box.

10. For tracking purposes, place your packing list inside.
